6 camps!

Posted by joelbyer on June 23, 2009

Well, ladies and gentlemen, reptiles and crocodiles, today I head out for the first of 6…count ’em…6 church camps to be part of this summer. Must be in PVBI quartet again or something.
Should be interesting. If you don’t hear from me again, you’ll know I didn’t survive.  🙂

I’m still alive!

Posted by joelbyer on May 7, 2009

This blog has been silent for quite a few days now. Anyway, there’s been a lot of stuff going on, and we’ll get back in business soon! 🙂

Why I shop in the States

Posted by joelbyer on April 14, 2009

Rough estimate of regular price of items: $37.50

After sales, newspaper coupons, internet coupons, Pharmacy extra bucks…: $3.10 ($2.50 of that is for the cereal)

We also got Kraft salad dressing for .08 cents…a shirt for $2.99…and other stuff as well.

It baffles me why Canadians don’t do more cross-border shopping!

We made it!

Posted by joelbyer on June 5, 2008

Yes folks, we are now in the great state of PA. The same state, incidentally, where Byron Gurnee’s beloved Penguins just lost…on home ice!…the Stanley Cup. Not that I’m rubbing it in, or anything. 🙂  Now, I’m going to have to go back home next week, and talk to all those Red Wing fans from our church. I’m thinking of doing a sermon series on humility. 😉

Anyway, we’re here on Penn View campus. Last night around 9PM or so, a bunch of us guys went kayaking/canoeing on Penns Creek. This is a blast to do in the dark! It’s great for sneaking up on people and trying to ram them…in Christian love, of course.

Go Habs.

Try the new tic tac toe game on Jon Earl’s blog. It’s really cool. I haven’t been able to beat it yet!
