Is Rush Limbaugh wrong?

Posted by joelbyer on March 8, 2009

Why Rush is Wrong | Newsweek National News | Newsweek.com

An interesting article by David Frum.

My thoughts? I have 2.
A) I largely agree with Frum’s analysis of Limbaugh. Limbaugh comes across too bombastic, angry, and divisive. I largely agree with conservative politics, don’t get me wrong, yet HOW we say something is just as important as what is said (or almost so). Limbaugh’s comment on Obama that “I hope he fails” is at best easily misunderstood, at worst, cynical and hurtful. On the other hand, some of Frum’s comments about moderating conservatism are cause for concern.

B) I think Newsweek magazine is probably looking to cause more division within conservatives. Finding a somewhat influential conservative voice to attack a big conservative voice does far more to help the liberal cause than just another liberal attack column.

What do you think?

I wish nothing but success for ol’ Barry!!!(In his pursuits to get as far away from America as possible). Do you guys north of the border need any more socialists? Come on 2012!!! Good-bye Barack Hussein Obama. Oh, by the way, Rush is probably being too nice.

Regarding B)….that’s exactly what Rush predicted would happen. So that proves he is usually right on. I don’t care for his attitude all the time either, but between him and Hannity, they know their stuff.

Yep, I’ll have to disagree on this one two. I think the media plays up his comment about “I want Obama’s program to fail.” I think he is cocky sometimes but I don’t think this is being blown way out of proportion.
