We made it!

Posted by joelbyer on June 5, 2008

Yes folks, we are now in the great state of PA. The same state, incidentally, where Byron Gurnee’s beloved Penguins just lost…on home ice!…the Stanley Cup. Not that I’m rubbing it in, or anything. 🙂  Now, I’m going to have to go back home next week, and talk to all those Red Wing fans from our church. I’m thinking of doing a sermon series on humility. 😉

Anyway, we’re here on Penn View campus. Last night around 9PM or so, a bunch of us guys went kayaking/canoeing on Penns Creek. This is a blast to do in the dark! It’s great for sneaking up on people and trying to ram them…in Christian love, of course.

Go Habs.

  1. OUCH!! I think for the youngest team to make it to the Stanley Cup…..they did great. Sidney Crosby was 20 years old and their Captain was 37.
Oh that one goal that our goaltender sat on and made for them. It would have been a good overtime session again….and the Penguins would have won.

Just wait till next year!! (I guess if Travis Johnson can keep saying that, so can I.)

PS. My hyperlink does not work…..

You’re right, Byron. They did do a fantastic job considering their age and lack of experience. Some have compared them to the ’83 Oilers.

A shame that the red wings won! Y’all didn’t need anymore help in trading off for a foreign team:)

You have Red Wings fans at your church? Isn’t that something like treason?
