Sunday storms

Posted by joelbyer on February 17, 2008

BBB proposes an official ban on Sunday storms. Last week, we had brutally cold weather and winds, which pretty effectively KO’d our Valentine’s outreach.
This week, we had freezing rain, and then plain rain. Any of you pastors ever get down about bad Sunday weather? Anyway, I’m thankful that all of this is in God’s hands. He knows what is best.

This has been a difficult winter for us as well. It seems like a storm of some sort always finds its way through Saturday night/Sunday morning or Wednesdays. We have had to cancel a Sunday morning, a couple Wed. night, and a Sunday night service. The other times we just suffered low attendance. I for one am looking forward to Spring!

  2. Our Bus Ministry has been decimated by the cold Sundays this winter. For safety’s sake, we don’t run the busses when the temp dips dangerously low and then the Baptist church nearby runs out and grabs all our kids. We’ve been a bit discouraged by it, but we’re holding out for warm weather.

    Hey, Joel,

I checked out your links page and that is cool that you can see when the bloggers have updated their post. However, for whatever reason, I noticed our blog showed it has not been updated since Nov., but we have added more posts since then. I don’t know what the error is or if it’s important, but I thought I’d let you know.

    Hi Kim,
I’m not sure why that is, and I don’t know how one could change that…hmmm…stumps me.

Oh, and thanks Angie D. and Chris H. for sharing your tales of woe. Misery loves company you know! 🙂
No seriously, it can be frustrating, but perhaps sometimes God just wants to remind us Who is really in charge around here.
