I’ve started other weeks better

Posted by joelbyer on March 5, 2007

Oh well, might as well blog about this, though I don’t particularly feel like doing so.

Our family was in Port Huron and got into an accident. We were turning to go into a grocery store, 2 lanes of traffic stopped to let us in, but I didn’t see another vehicle coming up the third (turning) lane at a good clip.

We were T-boned pretty good. Our family is all fine, although our minivan suffered severe damage and may be totaled. The driver of the other vehicle however, his shoulder was hurting him – seatbelt injury, probably – and was taken to the hospital. Pray for him! I think he’ll be fine but with whiplash, and whatnot.

Anyway, I’m thankful to the Lord that it wasn’t worse.

Thanks! I admit I’ve been feeling kind of bad about the whole thing, but I’m reminded again that’s why they’re called “accidents”. No one would ever want to plan one!

Joel, Jen & Family. I’m certainly thankful that God kept you in His care. Material things can be replaced, but your health and safety are the most important. You are in my prayers. Let us know when you get another vehicle!!
